Bruno Correa was born in Rio de Janeiro and grew up in a neighborhood called Barra da Tijuca where Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu became massively popular in the early 90's.

He started by learning Judo at school, and then proceeded to learn Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu from the well-known instructor Jorge Pereira at age of 14. Bruno has since trained with under a bunch of other great instructors (Octavio “Ratinho” Couto, “Vini” Vinicius Campelo and Nino Schembri).

He stayed away from the mats for nearly 20 years, but he never lost his passion for Jiu Jitsu and his desire to share with others what he has learnt from it
